A roofing contractor can inspect damage, propose a construction scope, price the work, and perform contracted repairs. A public adjuster represents a policyholder in negotiating an insurance claim and must be separately licensed. Do not assume one license authorizes both roles.

What the roofing contractor does

What the insurer does
